I think I seem to get along with Chateau Palmer as much as I get along with Mrs Palmer and her five daughters. Complex secondaries of cedar and forest fruits show through on the nose and as seductive as Palmer should be. It is a little more developed next to the Pontet-Canet of the same vintage it was tried next to. The fruit is fresh on the palate and very much medium-bodied. There is a great linear structure about it while still being generous. Balance cannot be faulted.
